Bad news ... Your BAD website is hurting your business

All I can say about the Yale School of Art's website is... it's a good thing they have a great reputation and strong brand recognition, because this site is, frankly, a mess.

One statistic notes that 88% of website consumers don’t return to a page if they have a negative experience, AND users form an opinion of a site within .05 seconds! (1) AND

94% of first impressions on websites are based entirely on how it looks. (2)

You’ll instinctively know a bad website when you see one. I hope it isn't yours. Some of the things that may make you queasy or scratch your head in confusion, are:

  • poor or outdated design

  • a cluttered layout

  • too much text

  • poor grammar

  • typos

  • no white space

  • readability issues

  • low resolution images

  • poor or no navigation options

  • too many menu options

  • inconsistent typefaces
